Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid lipstick

I have used this product for a couple days in a row now to give an accurate review. 

First, I would like to start off with the applicator tip. I feel that the felt tip of the applicator was a bit too long (see picture posted). When I was applying it to my bottom lip, I the applicator was putting the product just below my lip line. So now when I apply it, I am sure to wipe the entire applicator tip on the side of the bottle then dip the tip of the applicator in that to apply for better precision. 

The consistency of the product wasn't what I expected, not that it was bad consistency. I would compare it to cake icing. It was very easy to glide on and apply to my lips. I like the feel of the product as it's not too drying as some lipsticks can be. 

Now for my experience with it. I thought it wasn't a completely matte finish. I have used other mattes in the past, and this was different to what I've used. Not that it was a bad different at all, just wasn't what I expected. I put it on in the morning before I left for work and had anything to eat. I will tell you this is not a long lasting product, although it does not claim to be, so there is no fault to the company. I had reapplied it once or twice throughout the day, especially after eating. 

I would like to talk about the color now. I love dark and bold pigments for when I am going out. This product is not one of those types of colors. The 2 shades I used are really good for adding some color if you're at work and don't need the bold colors. I have attached a photo of myself wearing the color Rebel Red. As you can see in the picture, it is not too terribly bold. It adds a nice red color to my lips. I was expecting the a color of Rebel Red to be much bold than what it appeared when applied.

Bikini Ready Body

Let's be honest here.....
I do not have a bikini body nor will I ever have one and I am ok with that.  However, I do have a few tips on how to keep in shape. 

1. Track what you eat.  If you know how much you're eating, your less likely to eat empty calories and junk.

2. Take the stairs.  I take the stairs every day at work to increase the level of activity in a day.

3. Drink lots of water.  I try to drink at least 4/20 oz bottles a day, more if it's hot.

4. Have a cheat day once in awhile.  If you deprive yourself of the yumminess you love, it's a lot easier to fall off the bandwagon.

5. Try to maintain a level of some activity throughout the day.  At least 30 mins.

Like I said, I'm not in a bikini, but I do try to remain somewhat active and healthy.

Vitality VoxBox

I received the #VitaVoxBox in the mail on Monday to try out products complimentary. First I'd like to say how quick the boxes got out.  I received the email in the morning that I was in for the campaign and received it that afternoon in the mail.  Great job on that Influenster!

Now for the products.....

The Pure Leaf tea was awesome to receive.  I love iced tea so much.  It is my favorite drink.  when I go to the store, I normally buy the extra sweet flavored Pure Leaf.  I find that out of all the bottled tea brands, Pure Leaf has the most home brewed taste.  #loveofleaves

Really excited to get to try  the Softlips Cube.  I normally buy the Softlips brand chapstick for the simple fact that I like the way it glides on and doesn't feel like a thick coating on my lips.  I find it also has one of the highest SPF numbers out of all the products available to me.  #GetCubed

I also received Playtex Sport Fresh Balance tampons.  I will have to say that I don't have a use for tampons due to the type of birth control I am on. However, I have a teenaged daughter that is very active in sports.  In fact, she was just named cheerleading captain on her squad. (Sorry for the proud mama moment.)  I didn't realize Playtex made a lightly scented tampon.  I always buy the Playtex Sport tampons for her because she is so active.  She feels that is the best brand for her. #PlayOn

Elizabeth Arden Flawless Future Serum was included in the box.  It was a decent sized sample for the type of product it is.  I will need to use this for a few days to actually get a feel for how I like the product.  I did look at the reviews for it and they looked to be pretty high. I will do another blog on it, when I have the chance to use it for awhile.  #FlawlessFuture

The First Degree burn cream will certainly come in handy at my house.  I am constantly burning myself on things from my hair straightener to cooking and everything in between.  Let's just say Grace is not my middle name. :-) #BurnsHappen

Now for the Bikini Ready energy gummies.  I'm not a "bikini body" type of gal, so I am curious to see if these gummies will give me a little boost of energy.  Hopefully, they do because I certainly feel drained at the end of my 12 hour work shift. #bikinireadylifestyle

TLC VoxBox

I received my TLC VoxBox recently courtesy of Influenster.com. So excited to try out these products. Especially the Ivory Soap crafts I've seen on Pinterest. There are some really neat ideas on how to make some bath paint for the kiddos. The Neo To Go has come in quite handy for me since I have kids that play sports. It's compact Which makes it so much easier to carry, plus it's much nicer to use outside than a thick ointment. I also received a travel pack of Puffs Plus Lotion to try. I already know I love Puffs products, so this was a nice bonus. Something easy to carry in my work bag that's not too bulky. Next product up is Avon's Anew Reversalist wrinkle smoother. I haven't had a chance to use that yet, so I will do another blog when I do use it. I received a Shell gas rewards card. It was very easy to activate and link your credit card. That makes it easier to rack up those rewards to get more off per gallon. Last but not least is Breyers Gelato Indulgences. Perfect for an at-home date night with a good movie snuggling up with that special somebody.

New Age sweet red wine

I had the opportunity to try New Age sweet red wine last night. It was soooooo delicious! I'm normally not a wine drinker, but this brand has certainly changed that for me! I will be searching local liquor stores for it for sure.
